Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 13113
Suggestions for improving image controls in forms.
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:42:22 UTC
The Form Image controls (Image Button and Image Control) only provide the ability for the image to be loaded into the control. The image is then resized to fit the size of the control which can distort the image. There appears to be no other options. I am used to other packages which provide other options and think these options would be good enhancements. Image sizing options: Stretch image to the size of the control which is what is currently being done. Enlarge image to the size of the control but keep the proportions the same. This means a photo taken in landscape or portrait can be handled. The effect is to stretch the picture to the largest size either horizontal or vertical with no distortion. Clip. This means the image is clipped if bigger than the control. Generally this means you only see the top left hand portion. I find other packages miss some of the postioning options as well so I would like. Vertical options of top, bottom and centre. Horizontal options of left, right and centre. With all these alignment options to me, the Clip sizing option makes more sense as you can centre the image and just clip the outside. Kelvin
Kelvn, thanks for this RFE :) changing ownership to user experience team
Set to "NEW"
change subcomponent to 'none'
To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on my owner to the owner "requirements".
