Description nemoresus 2003-04-03 10:17:18 UTC
user-defined index give a more convenient way to generate index for a document,
as it can be based on styles for exemple.
we can even have several user-defined index

it's nice, but would be perfect if it was a bit more powerfull : ability to sort
and combine entries seems important for me.

imagine 10000 lines in a DB with 10 fields, if we can generate a catalog from
this into a swriter document ( see issue 12983 ) it could be VERY necessary to
easilly get some indexes, based on differents field's values.

Having several alphabetical indexes ( issue 6401 ) is enough but I 'd prefer
this solution as it would certainly be more tunable :o)
