Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 1289
Draw file crashs on load
Last modified: 2003-12-06 14:52:34 UTC
On windows NT 4.0 Service pack 5. When I try and load a file that I made in draw openoffice crashes with: The instruction at "0x1d8b8736" referenced memory at 0x0000000. The memory could not be "read". The only unusual thing that was done to the file was that I had changed the page format from "Letter 8.5 x 11 in" to "User" and entered a width of 23cm (I think that was it, around there anyway) and a height of 15cm (again, I think). I have an earlier version of the file with most of the drawing still intacted that I can send you if you would like. I have included the file that crashes. If you have any questions or want me to try something just send me an email. Paul Hutchinson.

The crash is reproducible in oo632. In an actual version the message "Error wrong type" popps up. Loading that file (just one slide) takes very long (ca. 1 minute).
the gpf is fixed in the actual version (src638), the assertion can't be avoided when loading old files but there is no data loss. We will file an internal bug for the performance issue with this file.
