I've attached a file written with some CJK characters, and also some arabic (i 
think). (just copied/pasted from websites as a test).

I wrote it in Writer 1.02, and saved it. It uses the shareware font Code2000. 
(though at worst it'll show up as squares on another computer.)

Anyway, in 1.02 each paragraph of text is size 24.
In 1.1beta the first two paragraphs are size 12.

I'm sorry i have no idea what causes this. It might be fairly obscure, but i 
don't know.

Reproduced. But it is not a bug, because:
OOo 1.0 and its minors do not support CJK and CTL text. Thus all text
is recognized as western text. And western text is set to 24pt font size.

OOo 1.1 beta now contains an i18n framework and thus recognizes the
first two paragraphs as CJK rsp. CTL text. Consequently these two
paragraphs are displayed with default values for the font size, which
is 12pt.

This task is fixed or worked in OOo 1.1 beta2.
