Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 12742
data source view - The data content could not be loaded
Last modified: 2006-05-31 14:29:06 UTC
After setting up a Sybase data source, I go to View - Data Sources and expand the view for tables and it lists the known objects which appears to be correct. If I try to expand one of the tables I get the error: The data content could not be loaded. "gmsdev"."dbo"."budget" not found. I looked at the SQL that got sent to the Sybase server, and it actually contains the quote marks and appears to be causing the failure. I included jconn2.jar in the class path and have the JDBC driver class set to com.sybase.jdbc2.jdbc.SybDriver.

hi, We (OOo database access) quote all parts of a table name ( catalog, schema, tablename ) if quoting is allowed by the datasource metadata. If the database doesn't understand the quoting it's not iur fault. Maybe you can get a new driver the database vendor which fix this behaviour. So, sorry but we can't fix this issue, however thank you for supporting the community. Bye Marc
