Description Unknown 2003-03-27 14:38:25 UTC
Running simpress from terminal as non-root user when
OO is installed as root into /usr/lib/openoffice

I see the following error when simpress starts up:

javaldx: could not create link of name:
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/../user/temp/java/a which links to
/usr/java/j2re1.4.1_01/lib/i386/client, symlink error: -1

presumably caused by Open Office 1.1 beta being unware of
being run by non-root user.

Reassigned to Christian.

This feature isn't provided by OOo 1.x. We are planning this for
upcomming versions.
In your case you have to install OOo for every user, e.g. making a
-net installation and a workstation installation as local user.
