Description andyp 2003-03-26 17:33:44 UTC
Got the following messages during install..

/bin/cp: cannot stat `/home/andyp/.kde2/share/applnk/OpenOffice.org 1.1Beta': No
such file or directory
/bin/cp: cannot stat `/home/andyp/.kde2/share/mimelnk': No such file or directory
/bin/cp: cannot stat `/home/andyp/.kde2/share/icons': No such file or directory

KDE >= 3 uses .kde as its default configuration directory

Hi Andy,
do you have defined KDE home (ech0 $KDEHOME)?
Comment 2 andyp 2003-03-31 13:00:30 UTC
KDEHOME is not defined.

I have noticed that despite these messages, the KDE integration seems
to have worked anyway. Does the installer try both .kde2 and .kde?

Hi Andy + Kevin
Kevin has written:
"I believe Oliver has already fixed this with the new sysui/desktop
and related scp changes. Now the proper KDEHOME environment variable
or .kde is detected and used. So this is already fixed in
cws_srx644_ooo20030412.
So I think this one can be resolved as "already fixed" for 1.1 final."

I hope that this fix will already reach 1.1 Beta2. Our current inhouse
version works fine. So I will wait for the next beta because I won't
wait for the final to see it ok.

Looks good for me Beta2.
