The following are two possible enhancements for the chart legend:

1.  A tab within a data curve's object dialog (after selecting and right
clicking on the curve in an x-y chart), or a tab within the legend object dialog
(right clicking on the legend itself) which will allow the legend text to be
modified directly.

2.  The ability to resize a legend box would be useful to force the legend text
to appear on a single line, or to fit the legend in a particular area.

This is still (Version 2.2) an issue. I would suggest to change this to a
feature request.
