Currently the Help text vor Version Selector is "Version: The version field defines the version of the software the bug was found in. "

That is rather unclear, because you can find the bug in many versions between the one where the bug appeared and the one before the one for what the bug has been fixed.  

It is common sense that this selector should show the most early version with what the bug has been reproduced, and that should be told by help text. For example
"Version: The version field defines the most early version of the software the bug was found in. "

The version field defines the oldest version of AOO the bug was reported/reproduced in.

suggested patch for the bugzilla installation

The field description cannot be changed in the administrative interface, but in a specific template in the installation. I suggest to change the templates using the attached patch.
