Version 4.0.1 was fine. After I removed 4.0.1 and installed snapshot of Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.0_Win_x86_install_en-US.exe or Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.0_Win_x86_install_th.exe on Windows XP and Windows 7 machines , then OpenOffice failed to start. It only showed the startup screen. When the startup screen disappeared, nothing happened. No error messages. When I removed 4.1.0 and reinstalled 4.0.1, it worked fine again.

On some machines OpenOffice 4.1.0 started successfully for a few times before it failed to start.

NOT reproducible with server installation of "AOO 4.1.0-Dev – English UI / German locale - [AOO410m1(Build:9750)  -  Rev. 1566593 2014-02-10 15:58:03 (Mo, 10 Feb 2014)]" on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", own separate user profile.

More information:
I captured the start up screen that appeared briefly and disappeared always at that much progress on the progress bar. This machine is an old Sony Vaio, with AMD Athlon XP CPU and 512MB of RAM and Windows XP Home Edition.

Now that AOO 4.1.0 Beta is released. I installed two packages, one at a time:
1.en-US
2.th

and the result is the same. On some machines it works fine. On another it just show the starup screen briefly and AOO fails to start. I test with Windows XP and Windows 7 machines.

I'm sorry that I don't know how to make a Dr.Watson hardware list. But all machines are compatible with old versions upto AOO 4.0.1

I can reproduce it on Windows 7 on my PC. Sometimes it starts after second attempt, sometimes needs five attempts.
