Description yogaforall 2014-01-06 20:53:01 UTC
After upgrading to Mavericks on my MacBook Air I decided to once again try the upgrade from 3.4.1 to 4.0.1. I tried this upgrade with Mountain Lion and found it to be problematic with my 8000 page document written in Devanagari. I downgraded back to 3.4.1 and eventually the document stabilized. So after upgrading to Mavericks I decided to once again try 4.0.1.

Now after OO install I made a new alias icon and OO creates an invisible icon as an alias for this 8000 pager on the desktop. I have never seen this before - a bit spooky. Not to say I don't like it, it's sorta fun, but does it imply a problem? I deleted the first one and repeat still occurred.

Otherwise all seems to be well. The document, as so far I can tell, is running better than ever and loads more quickly. There is another issue as far as fake recovery each time I open the same document but that is another issue I have posted.

We have had this issue on MacOS X 10.5.x with version 4.0. But this was fixed in version 4.0.1.

I never heard something like that on Mavericks and with 4.0.1

Eventually the invisible icon disappeared. Seems no one knows anything about this. Never happened again, yet. So I'll forget about it.
