A bug in glibc 2.3.1 manifesting with libraries containing more than 2^15
symbols causes frequent OO crashes. Running OpenOffice as "LD_BIND_NOW=1
soffice" seems be a workaround.

thank you very much for the report. If it is in OOo, we can close this
bug.

Others coun look here for details though.
