have done complete uninstall and new install numerous  times, shows a good install but when i try to open any document it starts to reinstall the application again ?

Origin of executable used to install AOO 4.0.0?

Are you sure that you don't click the install icon on your desktop? The AOO icon is not that different.
If you launch AOO from your Start menu, what happens?
