Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 118926
Collapse removed text when showing tracked changes
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:12:59 UTC
When tracking changes in OOo, the user can choose to show or not show the changes. When the changes are shown, new text appears with an underline and removed text appears with a strikethrough. Please allow users to collapse the strikethrough text, such that it can be seen _where_ text was removed but do not expand it to show the original text. I recommend a small triangle marker similar to that used to designate where comments exist, however in a different colour. This feature is important as the omitted text itself makes reading the revised copy difficult, however it is important to know where text was removed. Enabling and disabling the collapse should be available from the main menu, and it should be able to have a keyboard accelerator assigned. Thank you.
getting rid of value "enhancement" for field "severity". For enhancement the field "issue type" shall be used.
Please attach example.

Which type of example you need? The description of OP seems clear. If you compare 2 versions of a document, the OP wants the possibility to see which text are added but not the deleted text. So the OP wants anything like this: This is a <?>sample text for showing the enhancement. <?> the marker for the deleted text, described from the OP as "I recommend a small triangle marker" If you click on the marker, you can see the (strike through) deleted text: This is a <small >sample text for showing the enhancement.
If you feel you understand the description by Dotan Cohen, please attach a mock-up.
Issue 81526 provides a IMHO better and easier solution.
