Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 118440
OO fonts not fully installed on MAc OSX
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:33:20 UTC
Additional fonts provided by OO are not visible to applications outside of OO, e.g. Textedit, jEdit. On a pc these are globally available. On a PC after installing OO, I can use "DejaVu Sans Mono" in other applications like jEdit and WordPad. These are visible in C:/windows/fonts. After installing OpenOffice on my Mac - OSX 10.7 (Lion) - font "DejaVu Sans Mono" is available inside OO apps but not outside, e.g. in jEdit, Textbook and Font Book. I can see the OO font directory using Terminal.app at /Applications/OpenOffice.org.app/Contents/basis-link/share/fonts/truetype but these fonts are not in /Library/Fonts. It appears that the Mac-OSX "Font Book" application cannot add these fonts as it uses a "Finder"-like access to files/folders which does not allow you to delve into an "App".
You are right, but it will not be so easy to fix this, since we do not use dpkg packages. Anyway, I have to confirm it.
getting rid of value "enhancement" for field "severity". For enhancement the field "issue type" shall be used.
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
