Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 117660
font size changed in formulas when importing from Word
Last modified: 2014-04-28 09:36:50 UTC
The font sizes in formulas are "automatically" changed when the Word file with formulas is imported in OOO. In all formulas, body font size is explicitly set to 12pt (by including the "size 12" instruction in the formula) and index fonts' sizes are set to 8pt (by including the "size 8" instruction). I've just re-checked this on 3.4.0_m105 snapshot on Linux, with Word file which assuredly contains 10pt/7pt font settings (attached). This seems to be the complement of #115966.
Created attachment 76253 [details] Word file with simple 10pt formula (prepared in Word)
Forgot to mention all Word/OOO conversions are switched ON in OOO here.
getting rid of value "enhancement" for field "severity". For enhancement the field "issue type" shall be used.
I seemed to be able to replicate this same issue.
Attachment is opened with AOO410m18(Build:9764) - Rev. 1589052 2014-04-22 12:11 - Linux x86_64 double click formula brings sviprocs.tmp (read-only) window with Format - Font Size... disabled?
Open document and formula fine with: 3.6.7.2 (Build ID: e183d5b) What seems to be raw word document opens (read-only) after double-clicking the formula in: 4.2.3.3 Build ID: 6c3586f855673fa6a1576797f575b31ac6fa0ba3 And this goes to stdout: :1: parser error : Document is empty ࡱ ^
This website is about Apache OpenOffice, not LibreOffice.
To me this looks like a problem in a shared codebase. I'm not using 4 series of either product, anyway.
