Description robert.kinsella 2003-02-21 17:37:52 UTC
SFrameworkInstall.jar.21.02.2003, StarOffice 644 build m3 (OpenOffice.org 644
not yet available for test) Windows 2000 and Solaris 9.

Deploy a script to a document, e.g. testbind.sxw and create a binding for it,
e.g. File - bean1, exit and restart staroffice
Under tools, options, security select Run Macro - Never.
Open the document (testbind.sxw) and select file - bean1.

On solaris no warning message is displayed advising the user that the macro run
option is set to never.
On Windows an error dialog is launched, - stating osl:file ..\..\inc\util.hxx,
Line79. (ScriptRunTimeManager::invoke:No Resolved URL.
Then three options listed, abort ignore or debugger.
To the standard user, this error message does not indicate the nature of the
problem.

Better warning/error messages should be launched.

Assign to Duncan to fix
Comment 3 duncan.foster 2003-02-24 10:15:05 UTC
If the security feature is set to "never" the net effect is that the
resolution process will not succeed (if there is no matching script in
user or share).
If the resolution doesn't return a script URL, then
ScriptRuntimeManager::invoke will throw a RuntimeException (the error
message seen). Do we consider this correct behaviour??? (IMHO it might
be better to fail silently.
Comment 4 duncan.foster 2003-02-25 17:29:11 UTC
No error messages seen in product build. Attempt to execute script
fails silenetly if run macro set to "Never".

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved
<wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for
details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.

I get an error message saying that the files are damaged or corrupted when I try to install 4.0 on my computer.
