Description robbk 2011-02-28 06:35:19 UTC
The announcement about the new infrastructure is so glaringly a literal translation from German that the result is very awkward English. I suggest the following changes:

old:
You visit the OpenOffice.org site on the new infrastructure, more...
new:
You are visiting the OpenOffice.org site on the new infrastructure; more...

old:
Welcome at the OpenOffice.org site based on Project Kenai
new:
Welcome to the OpenOffice.org site based on Project Kenai

I'm guessing that a German speaker did the news because the result represents extremely typical mistakes I have seen German speakers use.

In the meantime we removed the banner; but thanks anyway...
Comment 2 Oliver-Rainer Wittmann 2012-06-13 12:23:10 UTC
getting rid of value "enhancement" for field "severity".
For enhancement the field "issue type" shall be used.
Comment 3 Du Jing 2012-06-19 06:20:26 UTC
I still can see the old string in the URL:http://www.openoffice.org/news/

"Welcome at the OpenOffice.org site based on Project Kenai",but no "Welcome to the OpenOffice.org site based on Project Kenai"

besides this,I can't find "You are visiting the OpenOffice.org site on the new infrastructure; more..." in the URL: http://www.openoffice.org/news/,has deleted?
