Description agpallitit 2003-02-19 20:43:19 UTC
Could MathType be integrated in StarOffice the same way it integrates with Word
and Wordperfect, i.e. it replaces the "native" formula editor?

TL->BH: seems to be a question for user-experience.
Comment 2 caolanm 2003-02-20 09:10:08 UTC
Right now of course insert->object->ole object->further objects-> and
select mathtype from the list when it installed on a windows machine
works already. So perhaps the types listed in further objects could be
listed directly under in insert->ole object. Perhaps a nice feature
then would be to make the insert object list of objects contain our
object types at it does already plus a Most Recently Used List of
object types selected from the further objects selection ?

Following Caolan's idea, a really nice feature would be the
possibility to place an icon in the toolbar pointing to the external
program, easing insertion of external objects.

Set to "NEW"

Shouldn't MathType also be possible to use in Presentation and
Spreadsheet, etc.?
