Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 116473
XLS export compatibility bug
Last modified: 2017-05-20 09:57:18 UTC
XLS compatibility for Conditional Formatting is not working. It seems that XLS does not support references to other sheets. More importantly condition <Cell Value is> <equal to> <$FD1.I$13> is translated by Excel to <'FD1'!A$13> (NOTE CHANGE "I" to "A").
please add a sample doc to reproduce the issue

I too have experienced this bug. I will be happy to send any requested documentation.
Hello, I need more information. what is the problem with "calc Apache OpenOffice"? because the extension in calc is .ods Regards
Calc can open .xls files. The example above should be sufficient. But I will try to find another. After 2 years that may take a while. I also wonder why the bug is still unconfirmed as 2 people have independently reported it.

The goal here is to see if the issue is still an issue in the current OpenOffice version. Because 2 years have passed, the older tests against older versions of OpenOffice are not sufficient. We want to see if the issue is still a problem.
Well Rob. I cannot reproduce the error and I cannot find the original spread sheet which had the error. Reproducing the error requires saving a sheet as a .xls file and opening it in the other spread sheet application. I don't remember if it was from calc to excel or from excel to calc. I don't have access to excel any more so I can be of no further use to you in this area. Sorry, Rich
Can not detect cells in attachment sheet "print" with conditional formatting. Please advise.
