Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 116368
OpenOffice Draw, Error en grid.
Last modified: 2011-03-04 10:26:26 UTC
In OpenOffice draw, there is an error in the grid. Numerically, the size is 1 cm x 1cm, but it is not so, for example, when you draw a circle with a diameter of 4 cm, the circle is an ellipse. If I use a plastic ruler on the screen, I can see that the diameter is not equal, both horizontally and vertically in the "circle", therefore, the dimensions of the grid is not 1 x 1 (physically).
Are you sure that you have set the correct monitor resolution? What does the position and size dialog say about height and width of the cirlce? Please attach a screenshot.
Created attachment 75525 [details] resolution1152x864
Created attachment 75526 [details] resolution1440x900
Created attachment 75527 [details] 1x1 cm on both resolutions
circle is 4.5*4.5 cm
OpenOffice version is a distribution of Fedora 14 x86_64 and Video is NVIDIA Binary Graphics Driver
And which kind of display device do you use? LCD? How large is it and what would be the native screen reolsution for it?
LCD device 19" (16"x10"), with resolution 1440x900 (max resolution as native) is a circle, with 1152x864 is a ellipse.
Every LCD has a max resolution where the aspect ratio of the displayed stuff is correct. Every other resolution will display a wrong aspect ratio. Just divide 1440:900= 1.6 , 1152:864= 1.3 .
Works for me.
