How to reproduce OOo crashes at importing emf files which include characters encoded by the Shift-JIS (cp932) code. 1. Import nihongo.emf (attached to the issue) 2. ImageFaxViewer.png (Screen Shot of the above file by the Image and Fax viewer in the Windows XP) 3. AfterCrash.png (Screen Shot of the recover window after crash) on 1. Windows XP SP3 OOo_3.3.0rc7_20101126_Win_x86_install-wJRE_ja 2. Windows 7 OpenOffice.org 3.2.1 3. Debian 5.0.7 OOo_3.3.0rc7_20101126_Linux_x86_install-deb_ja.tar.gz 4. I can reproduce this probrem. My system is: OS: Debian 5.0.7 (Linux kernel 2.6.26-2-686) Package: OOo_3.3.0rc7_20101126_Linux_x86_install-deb_ja.tar.gz

Sorry, could not reproduce with the second attachment with version OOo330_m17 (build 9551). Which application did you use and how do you import the file?
I could reproduce on OOo Draw, Writer and Impress. For example, drag and drop of bugdoc.emf to the OOo Draw
Reproducible under Linux. Reassigned.
