Hello :)
I am using OpenOffice.org 644, and all I wanted to do was to search for
previously filed issues relating to the feature that's supposed to export to PDF
file.  After about 15 minutes or so of messing around, and after reading
documents that were supposed to help me to use IssueZilla, I still have not been
able to find Issue reports relating to PDF.  I have about two choices: not
report the PDF issue at all, or report it without knowing if it's been reported
or not, just so I can get an issue number that I can jump directly to that issue
number and add any additions that I may have to it.  I trust that there must be
an easier way to search for Issues, but I found no reference to it, even though
I tried as hard as I reasonably could.  In closing, I sincerely doubt that I'm
the only one who has had problems like this :(

you are not the only one ;(
IZ is going to be updated this year and its successor is better. 
In the meanwhile, you can use the QA project's IZ gateway:
http://qa.openoffice.org/issuelinks.html.
