Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 11585
handles for changing cell-ranges on every corner
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:12:27 UTC
Hallo! When working with spreadsheet in large documents I miss the following: When I change an bigger cell range, I have to scroll for reaching the beginning, I would like to do it be draging a handle. Unfortunatly, there is no handle in the upper corner, only in lower right corner. It would be very helpful to have handles in every corner. Moving the range should be still possible by clicking inside, for example. Denny Beyer
Hi Bettina, one4you
Hello Denny, I am not sure, if I understand you. You want to scroll within a range by a handle? But you can scroll via the scrollbar. Could you please explain it a bit more? Thank you.
I have to change the priority, as this is definitely not a key-feature. As this feature needs further information for evaluation, the target milestone is corrected.
I like this feature, just to clarify: Start calc Select cells b2:d5 Notice the square in the lower right corner of cell d5 When you hover this square the cursor changes so you can change your selection Now, it would be great to have these squares on the upper left corner of cell b2, the upper right corner of cell d2 and the lower left corner of cell b5 (and maybe halfway cell c2 and c5 and so on...) Ok, some additional information ... When working with large spreadsheet and you select a range of cells. After you selected the cell range you want to change it. To use the previous example b2:d5 , i can select an additional row by using the small sqare on the lower right sell of d5 and draging it to d6. Now i want to do the same thing for cell b2. I could use CTRL for it, but it would be more obvious to have the small sqares on each corner of a selected cell range. denny
