When I try to open a file I saved in 5.0 format, I get a crash. I will attach the file. The dump I get is below: OFFICE caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL at 0177:bff7a115. I can not see it on my Windows 98 or 2000 machines. Do you still have the problem (OpenOffice 632 could work). Please check it out. So if it still occurs, it would please you to tell me which default printer you have on your system. Maybe OOo has a problem in this corner. Thank you!
The file works in Build 632. Thanks. My default printer is an HP 4050, with a network connection.
Opening a file with an embeded blank in the name caused a crash. Without the embedded blank, the file opened normally. I produced this problem from the Windows98 Run window. My command line was: G:\OpenOffice60\program\soffice.exe "c:\Windows\Desktop\aaa peter.sdw" . Note: no quotes around program name, unlike Dr. Watson's details. See attached file WATSON11.WLG.
Created attachment 367 [details] Dr. Watson save file
The Dr.Watson is shown as id=367. My filename doesn't seem to show in this system.
I could reproduce this with OpenOffice 632 on Win98. Other platforms were o.k. It worked with an internal build 637 on Win98, sol look out for OpenOffice release with this number or higher (maybe even 633 ???).
In OpenOffice 633 it works fine.
Works fine for me too with version 633.
