Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 11455
control-shift-digit keys should not be made available on Unix platforms
Last modified: 2003-03-13 11:11:36 UTC
Scripting framwork SFrameworkInstall.02.12.2004, Solaris & Linux, staroffice 644 buildm1 (openoffice.org 644 is not yet available for test) Select Tools, Scripting Add-on's, assign script to key. Bug--> All control-shift-digit keys are made available on all platoforms for the user to assign to scripts. These keys should not be made available on all UNIX platforms as 1. they do not work 2. they are also not available in tools, configure, keyboard
Appropriate keys should be displayed for each OS. USe Java script for OS detection - reuse code in Runtime for this. Noel - give this to Neil - check email to assign to.
Change priority - would ship with this issue.
Assign to Neil to fix
Neil - given the issues around the OS detection and the cost of doing this in Java, I want us to remove support for control-shit-digit key binding. Just don't display it as an option in the drop down. Release not the fact that we do not support this type of key binding. requires_documentation
control-shift-digit no longer available on any platform. Should be release noted as not available. requires_documentation
verified fixed on all platforms SFrameworkINstall.jar.27.02.2003
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details.
