Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 114511
Data loss in a hidden formula cell
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:30:56 UTC
New a spreadsheet document Input 1 in A1, return Input =A1 in B1, return Choose B1 and open "Cell Format" dialogue Go to "Cell Protection" tab, uncheck "Protected", check "Hide formula" Main menu: Tools-Protect-Sheet, set a password and click "OK" Double click B1, press Ctrl+C or Ctrl+A Click anywhere out of B1 The data in B1 has gone. This issue also exists in the latest version(OOo3.3).
I can confirm this. Ctrl+C shouldn't remove the formula within a hidden cell. Reassigning to Niklas

patch reviewed.
Fixed in CWS "calc66".
Reassigning to QA for verification. When editing, you still see an empty cell and can overwrite it, but Ctrl-C or Ctrl-A are no longer counted as modification, so in the example case, the formula remains in the cell.
Seen ok in cws calc66 -> verified
