Description dariospagnolo 2010-06-09 15:26:03 UTC
Hello,

I've just noticed that when I try to export a file to a GVFS mounted directory,
the export fails if the newly created PDF exceeds 64kb (65536 bytes).

I get the following error message (french) :

"Erreur lors de l'enregistrement du document XXXX:
Erreur d'entrée/sortie générale lors de l'accès à /home/XXXX/.gvfs/sftp sur
XXXX"

Approximate translation :

"Error when saving document XXXX:
General input/output error while accessing /home/XXXX/.gvfs/sftp on XXXX"

Actually, the file is created but truncated at 65536 bytes which results in a
corrupted PDF.

If I delete some parts of my document (no matter what: text, pictures,...) and
the exported PDF is lower than 64kb, it is saved fine.

Some more details :
 - The GVFS mount uses the SSH protocol (and not SFTP)
 - Distribution is Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Lucid Lynx
 - Openoffice package name/version is : 3.2.0-7ubuntu4.1

The bug can be reproduced with any kind of source file and with any PDF export
options as long as the generated PDF is over 64kb.

Please advise if I should (also/instead ?) submit this problem to the Ubuntu
and/or Gnome bug tracking system.

Thanks !

Do you work with OOo provided by ubuntu or the one downloaded from openoffice.org?
Comment 2 dariospagnolo 2010-06-10 10:29:03 UTC
Yes, I do use OOo provided by Ubuntu. Package version is 3.2.0-7ubuntu4.1

Please try out, if this also happens with the version from openoffice.org
website. Linux distributors build their on sets with own implementations.
