Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 111932
Problem linking text documents.
Last modified: 2010-05-30 10:23:32 UTC
I have been studying and evaluating OpenOffice.org for about a month. I had a problem with linking documents. First, I created and save a document with three sections. One section had text, another had a photo, and the third had a chart. I then created another document. At first I opened a section an linked it to the document above. It worked but it combined the photo and chart together. I then opened another document and created a section that I linked to one section in the above document. No link was created. I tried linking individually to all three sections but no results. Please, email me when you solve this problem. Thankyou, Phil Mullen Angels Camp, CA
Not a valid report, no useful information an all! @philnm: You can get help from the public users mailing list users@openoffice.org or on the forum at <http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/> Pls. follow my advice so that we will get a useful bug report! May I ask you to read our guidelines on <http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/pre_submission.html> and <http://www.openoffice.org/bugs/bug_writing_guidelines.html> before you file further issues or post again here? Then please select correct information for Issue Tracker selection fields Component, Subcomponent, Platform, OS, Version, Priority (generally: leave '3'), contribute a clear step by step instruction containing all observations (error messages ...), EVERY key press and EVERY mouse click how to reproduce the problem, and explain why you believe that your results are unexpected. That means (for example): do not write something like "I am not able to ...", but 6. left mouse click on … expected: …, color of … changes, … actual: no …., color remains white, no … Screenshots might help to explain the problem. Please - always specify your OOo download source, version, localization, OS and Platform you used for your tests! - attach a sample document (always with ODF source document)! - Always contribute a meaningful Summary (every report is about a problem)!
Reading the first description, this issue would get probably its solution using the support channel (users@openoffice.org mailing list or http://user.services.openoffice.org/)
