Description issues@www 2001-06-25 21:17:50 UTC
message in line mode screen:

[root@grumpy install]# ./setup /net
glibc version: 2.1.3
sh: lpstat: command not found
BUG IN DYNAMIC LINKER ld.so: dl-version.c: 210: _dl_check_map_versions:
Assertion `needed != ((void *)0)' failed!

GUI gives following message after installing all files:

"The libbrdgfctr.so component was unable to be registered"

(note: grammatically speaking...
"Unable to register the XXX component"
  would be better)

Three choices are offerred: Retry, Ignore & cancel. No matter which
option is selected, the progress bar continues to change colours, but
no other progress is apparent. the top command indicates negligible cpu
use, and there is no disk grinding. kill -TERM is ignored. -9 is needed.

This is a mandrake 7.2, and build 627 had installed OK.

if you try to run a binary, this happens:

[peter@grumpy install]$ /opt/open*/program/soffice
/opt/openoffice-632/program/javaldx: error in loading shared libraries:
libsal.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
/op

Hi Peter,
if you click e.g on ignore you shouldn't loose your patience: setup is still running and will finish after a while. Afterards you should start setup for a workstation installation, soffice causes an error -> we know about this.

Ingo,
I could reproduce this ("The libbrdgfctr.so component was unable to be registered") and the same with libremotebridge.so

Well Olaf,

my network-installation even crashes after pressing the "ignore"-button. But
this bug occurs only in a network installation. We know, that this will not
happen in a src633. Therefore we should take a look at this version. I do not
know, why these files cannot be registered in a network installation in a
src632. Perhaps you should ask JSC for more information, because he is
responsible for the registering of the components.

So let's wait and see what will happen in 633.
Comment 4 issues@www 2001-06-27 14:27:22 UTC
I used the 632 binary to install on a red hat 7 based system.
Normal Installation works fine.
Net Installation terminates with 'libXXX could not be registered ... '
By typing 'ignore' the binary execs fails! after installation.too.
So on . happy debugging

It is ok in 633. Setup -net works except issue 1217. Workstation installation
is also running and working.
