Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 110481
Paper tray setting from page styles after the 1st page is ignored
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:45:33 UTC
My organisation just set up some letterhead templates. The first page of the template uses the 'First Page' page style. This style is set to use Tray 1 in the Paper Tray setting. All subsequent pages used the Default page style, and the paper tray setting for that page style is Tray 2. When we print letters that use this template, all pages print from the first Tray. If I reverse the template settings, such that the first page style uses tray 2, and default uses page 2, then all pages in the letter will print from tray 2. So whatever tray the first page style is set to print from is used for all subsequent pages, regardless of the printer tray chosen in the print settings. The general print options have "Paper tray from printer settings" unticked. The default Printer Tray within the printers settings is tray 2. Here is some other info that might be relevant: - Printer: HP 5550dn colour laser printer. - Driver: hplip 3.9.12. - OS: Ubuntu 9.10 systems.

No, I disagree that this is a duplicate issue of 69506. I did find that issue before submitting. The problem stated in 69506 is that the paper tray settings are not retained. In my setup, the paper tray settings within the page styles are retained. I can change the paper tray setting, save the style, then modify the style and my changes are retained. The problem I have noticed is that a document with two page styles, each set to draw paper from a different tray will, when printed, take all paper for all pages from the tray set for the first page style. Perhaps someone can try replicating this using the attached document?
Reassigned to HI
@moondrake75: Did you try it with OOo 3.2 m12? It works for me.
