Behavior of calculation with text cell.
Last modified: 2013-12-17 13:58:58 UTC
Different Behavior of calculation with text cell between OOo3.1.1 and 3.2.0. Calculation of the text cell outputs 0 in 3.1.1. But,Calculation of the text cell outputs #VALUE in 3.2.0. look at attached file.

This change is intentional, see http://www.openoffice.org/dev_docs/features/3.2/#calc_strings, http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=allfeatures&msgNo=3523 and issue 5658.

No new arguments, so closed
Testing with attachment for Issue 109721 issue I see that my MS EXCEL VIEWER handles that like OOo 3.1, not like 3.2.! Have there be any comparisons with other spreadsheet software before that change? Have there been any UX comments?

In between we had some discussion in Issue 109721 with many new points of view, it seems that the WONTFIX decision was overhasty. May be the new behaviour is intended, but intention seems to be wrong, pls see Issue 109721.
