Can't read from samba shared folder
Last modified: 2014-03-01 19:56:55 UTC
Unfortunately because of the dependencies I upgraded to openoffice 2 version to 3.11 version. I am using mandriva distro . When I tried to open an openoffice document from remote computer via samba share document is opening as a blank . It was not like this before . If I copy thye document to my local computer everything is ok. And also when I paste a web page it is awesome . New version worse than olders. Sincerely.
@kaizener Please contribute correct information in future! Do I understand that right, you are able to save a document on samba shared folder? Did you already check whether here are other issues concering samba problems?
Hi , Dear Ulrike, Sorry for my urgent issue I was very busy with this and other bugs and may be I can't explain enough cause my english is not good enough.Thank you for your sensitivity. I have been checked the other issues before submit and yes I can save to the samba share folder in a server from local computer correctly , but when I opened an *.odt document from a server , samba shared folder , openoffice opening just an empty page . Normally it should show the document content , however it is only possible to copy the document to the local computer then open with openoffice. Regards, Berk DemiraÄŸ
My operating system : Mandriva 2010 Mandriva 2010 installed on a client computer , i.e. client1, Remote machine is XP server , name : k800 , Folder Name : Shared Folder Client1 , is tring to open an openoffice document (*.odt) from shared folder of k800 , Result is an empty page.
