Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 10822
[RFE] Primary Key Assignment Dialog needs improving ?
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:45:41 UTC
Some system info : Linux Mandrake 9.0, MySQL 3.23.52 Max, latest MyODBC 3.51.05 If you create a table in the gui without setting a field as primary key, it will propose to do so for you. It does this by creating an "Int auto_increment make primary" statement, which is all very nice, but the table will not be written if you already have an auto_increment field defined and of course you get a message from the driver saying that the table couldn't be created because you can't have more than one autoincrement field. It would be nice if when the dialog pops up you could choose the field that you want to have the primary key. At the current time, I couldn't see anyway of doing this other than by saying no at the dialog and manually adjusting my auto_increment field via the gui. Feature enhancement ?
confirming as valid RFE (does not necessarily mean that we start implementing it tomorrow :)
fs->oj: If we really do this, then it's most probably up to you ...
.
change subcomponent to 'none'
Hi, according to http://development.openoffice.org/releases/Target_Milestone.html retarget to OOo_Later Bye Marc
I might add (if I haven't done so already), that I can update and modify my data from the Mac to the remote mysql server using CocoaMySQL without any problems. Alex
Ignore that last comment, it was intended for another issue, sorry. Alex
