Description migu81 2009-11-05 23:00:10 UTC
Two examples of the problem:

1. I have two lines on the same slide. If put an arrow at the end of one line, it automatically applies to the
other line as well.

2. I have a line and textbox on the same slide. If change the transparency of the line, it also affects the
boundary of the textbox.

NOT reproducible with "Ooo 3.1.1 WIN XP DE-multilingual version German UI
activated [OOO310m19 (Build 9420)]"!

MAC specific?

detailed step by step description:

1. open attached file on os x snow leopard
2. right click on one of the two lines
3. go to tab 'line'
4. change colour / arrow styles / transparency
5. apply by clicking on ok
6. see how it affects textboxes and other lines
Comment 5 wolframgarten 2009-11-12 14:20:21 UTC

Description:

I could not replicate this issue in all of the three systems I Tested.

The issue was editing of one line(Color, Transparency,Arrow Endings) affects
other line and text boxes present in the same slide.
1) If we apply an arrow at the end of one line, it automatically applies to
other line present In Same Slide.
2)Change in Transparency of the line affects the boundary of the text box both
present in the Same Slide.

Download The Attachment File (Bug.odp).

Steps to replicate:

1.	Open Impress with a new or existing presentation.
2. From File menu ---> open
3. Browse to that location where you have saved the "Bug.odp"
4. Click On Open After Selecting the File.
5.	Right Click on one of the lines
6.	Select on "Line" option
7. Change color / Arrow styles / Transparency.
8. Press F5 or Click on Slideshow From Slideshow Menu.
9. It Does Not Affect the other Lines and Text box Boundary.

Follow Up Tests:
1) I tried to Replicate The issue(Using The Same Steps as above) in other
Systems but could not Replicate the issue.

2) Second Follow up Test was to Create a new Presentation on Windows Vista
Machine and I drew text boxes and Two lines and then I followed the steps
mentioned above but I could not Replicate the issue.

As far as I am concerned,I Could not replicate the Issue. This Tests does not
imply that the problem Cannot be replicated on any platform or for any new Open
Office Version.

System configurations:

Windows Vista, 4GB Ram , Intel Processor 2.40Ghz
Windows 7, 4GB Ram, Intel processor 2.20GHz.
Mac OS, 4GB Ram , Intel Processor 2.26Ghz.

Open Office 3.3.0(DEV300_m70,build 9478).

@stelukunti2008: On which version of MacOS did you test?
Comment 9 stelukunti2008 2010-01-30 01:29:14 UTC
I have tested on Mac 10.6.1.
Comment 10 wolframgarten 2010-02-01 09:39:22 UTC
Sorry, but obviously no one can reproduce this problem..
Comment 11 migu81 2010-02-01 11:03:14 UTC
I am using OpenOffice 3.1.1 OOO310m19 (Build:9420) and OS X 10.6.2.

But as suggested, the problem is probably specific to my configuration, so maybe time to move on and
close the issue.
