Apparently there is no way, in Options -Customize - Menus, to move one or
several menu items (say, File - "Save as") to another menu or submenu: you need
to delete the old item and recreate a new one.

It would be more efficient to have an interface for moving menu items directly
across menus/submenus.

Please make a concrete proposal (mockups, descriptions) of such an interface and
describe how to integrate it into the existing UI.
