Description issues@www 2001-06-19 13:55:56 UTC
I installed build 632 without removing the previously installed build 627.
During the "registering" phase, there were two messages that some DLL could not
be registered (sorry, I did not write down their names) and finally the install
program crashed, see below.

SETUP caused an invalid page fault in
module CFGMGR2.DLL at 015f:02776556.

Comment 1 issues@www 2001-06-19 14:08:34 UTC
after the previous version was removed, the installation now completed without
these problems.
Comment 2 Olaf Felka 2001-06-19 15:25:51 UTC
I've tried to install on Win2000, WinME and Win98. No problem: it makes no difference wether a 627 was installed or not, installation runs without any error message or crash.
Assumption: you have used the same directories?
If yes, please don't do so. At this state of developing there might be such important changes that there might be incompatibilities between the builds.
Comment 3 issues@www 2001-06-26 08:23:17 UTC
Olaf, just for the record, yes, I used the same directory.

In response to Olaf, 2001-06-19, I'd suggest the default directory be set to
C:\..\OpenOffice632 (or whatever the version number is), rather
than ...\OpenOffice60. The latter would be reserved for when the production
version comes out.

Hi Falko,
Is this possible?
Comment 8 falko.tesch 2001-09-17 13:13:29 UTC
Simple answer: No.

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved duplicate
issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is
unfortunately to set them to verified.
