Description burton82 2009-08-20 12:38:48 UTC
Hi!
We moved our Homes to the Server and mount them via Samba Share.
But since then we get into trouble with openoffice because it will not start
anymore. if i type openoffice.org or soffice in the terminal nothing happen. No
debug message - nothing.
The command above creates only:
.openoffice.org/3/user/config/javasettings_Linux_x86.xml

Client Side:
os: Ubuntu Jaunty

We mount our Homes with pam_mount and cifs:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
<!DOCTYPE pam_mount SYSTEM "pam_mount.conf.xml.dtd">
<pam_mount>
<volume fstype="cifs" server="BERTA-SV00" path="%(USER)"
                mountpoint="~/"

options="workgroup=BERTA,iocharset=utf8,uid=%(USER),file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777,nobrl,exec,nodev,nosuid"
/>
<debug enable="0" />
</pam_mount>

Server Side:
filesystems ext4 and ext3 but without any luck.

Comment 7 burton82 2009-08-25 18:44:54 UTC
i found the problem. The problem was that i have installed a newer Kernel from:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ (2.6.30) with this kernel
openoffice or cifs may have problems.

if this is not a bug please, please set it to fixed.

Regards.
