From a blank document, insert a manual page break with style Right Page. This 
will result in a document having page 1 and 3 of 3, missing page 2.  The same 
error will occur every time a Right Page is inserted before or after an odd-
numbered page.

Similarly, inserting a page of Left Page style after an even-numbered page 
will skip to the next even-numbered page.  

The page counter on the status bar will note that page numbers are missing, 
and total page count is incorrect.

Also, if you have inserted a Left or Right page manually, then fill 
the page until it overflows onto another page, the new page will 
have the same style, and will skip a page number.
