Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 103456
Complex formula would not work for .xls, Formula Wizard fixes it.

(File is confidential and will be sent to fst). Open supplied file - in column G you get #MACRO?. Click in, say, G8 and bring up Formula Wizard, click OK - you get a date result. Saving to .ods and reopening fixes the problem too. Problem first discovered in 2.4.1 and still exists in m51.
Here is simplistic file - base(a1;32) will display #MACRO? when round-triping to .xls.

I think that it is the same problem as reported in issue 99075 and earlier in issue 79854. The function BASE is unknown in Excel. For me the error is, that after saving to ods-format you need to reload the document and that 'Hard Recalculate" does not remove the #MACRO? remark on the now ods-document.
