Description the_tahk 2009-07-08 01:19:43 UTC
I work with tables, alot, when I type in a table, and move away from the
location of the blinking icon, in less than 3 - 4 seconds, the screen moves back
to the location of the table. So if I was to copy something from a table, and
move to another page, as soon as I stop to a second location, the document
scrolls back, and starts to flash at the previous location.
Is there a fix for this?

Not sure I understand your submission...
"the blinking icon": do you mean the text cursor?
"and starts to flash at the previous location": do you really mean "flash" or is
it another synonym for "jumps back"?

Please attach a sample document and a step by step description of what you do in
the document to reproduce this problem.

Sorry for not being explicitly clear.
yes, blinking icon = text cursor

if I was to start modifying a part of a table, for example at the top of page 1,
and copied a row, and moved half way down page [where the original location is
not seen on screen], as soon as I stop to another part of the same document, the
program jumps back, to the original location, regardless of where I've wanted to
scroll to, and highlights that part of the table. Almost behaves like MS Office.

I think it's a duplicate of issue 22453.

Please also check what is set under "Tools - Options - OpenOffice.org - View -
Middle mouse button". Maybe you set "Paste clipboard" and click erroneously in
the middle of the scrolling movement.
It would also explain this behavior.
