Description Unknown 2002-12-24 19:29:30 UTC
Personal edition of redhat 8.0 repeatedly aborted when openoffice 1.0.1 was
included in the standard install. I completed the install without including
openoffice. I then tried to install openoffice using rpm. It appeared to
install. But then immediately crashed when opened, announcing a fatal error.
The same thing happened when I installed a tarball version which I had
successfully used on a Mandrake 8.2 system.

My apologies if this should be directed at redhat.

Thanks

Bob

I do think this is a red hat issue. I'm going to mark this
issue resolved as 'worksforme', since I happily use the
ooo built in to red hat 8.

However, if you can repeat this with OpenOffice1.1rc2 or
later from the OpenOffice.org web site, please reopen this
issue.

Thanks!

The Issue you raised has been marked as 'Resolved' and not updated within the
last 1 year+. I am therefore setting this issue to 'Verified' as the first step
towards Closing it. If you feel this is incorrect, please re-open the issue and
add any comments.

Many thanks,
Andrew

As per previous posting: Verified -> Closed.
A Closed Issue is a Happy Issue (TM).
