Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 102591
Paste special | Unformatted pastes formatted text
Last modified: 2010-01-09 18:19:50 UTC
To reproduce: 1. Copy (formatted) text from e.g. email. 2. Paste this (using standard paste) into a cell in a spreadsheet. 3. Formatted text appear. Delete this text. (i.e. to replicate making a mistake of accidentally pasting formatted text.) 4. Select Paste Special... from the edit menu. 5. Choose "Unformatted text" from the dialog box. 6. Choose "Okay". Expected result: Unformatted text appears. Actual result: Formatted text appears. Example video: http://screencast.com/t/wqdz9cQVDv (Row 1 is some sample text; row 2 is pasted, deleted, special paste; row 3 is just special paste.)
A similar problem happens if you paste, then undo (ctrl-z), then paste special ... | Unformatted; see http://screencast.com/t/oEBbl9rcqr
When you past unformatted text it grabs attributes that are currently active. - first case: deleting text does not delete cell attribute, so the behaviour is normal - second case: undo inside cell doesnt delete attributes at cursor location and this is not normal, ie. this may be an issue, but sure not P3
can't reproduce with m49 on WinXP. ithinkihaveacat, please try latest dev build (m49 at the moment).
