Last modified: 2009-04-20 10:32:52 UTC
hy all, with version 3.x have introduced a lot of new things, but some errors too, like mine. Using normaly Ms Office and Openoffice too, i have made a doc, as it is quite a problem to make it with openoffice, it is named (bla bla bla_word_2000.doc => attachement). i can open it with both programms. When i open it with openoffice and save it in odt, it works again. when i open it in openoffice and make some changes and save it in .doc again then i can't opening in word_2k again. and reopening in openoffice a lot of things are lost. I remember that in version 2.x it works, but now it don't works. take a look and if somebody has time please solve it. greetings

Please read: http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/basic_rules.html "a lot of things are lost" is not a valid issue description. Following the rule "1 problem, 1 issue" please split this into as many issues as noticeable import/export problems.

hy probably my describtions is too short, i don't refer me that a lot of things are lost, probably somebody else has just posted it, if not i will make it with a new bug but the result is always the same, creating or using a .doc file from word, opening in openoffice, saving the changes in format .doc and not in .odt (here it works) as other users use only word, i can't opening the file again in word (crashes). i can opening in openoffice, but something is going lost due saving my .doc in openoffice. for this i expect the sub-componet save-export from word processor will be the right. if the file will saved right in openoffice with .doc, the file will woking all right in both programms thanks
@MRU: Please take over.
This problem should mainly be covered by issue 99024, but also some other issues handling tables when saved as .doc in OOo Writer (such as issue 99451) may "assist" here. They are all fixed in OOo 3.1; I have tested it with build OOO310m9 (aka Release Candidate 1). *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 99024 ***
