OOo->Tools->Extension Manager...->Button "Check for updates..."->OOo crash
Comment 1 mux2005 2009-04-08 07:45:13 UTC
This issue may be a duplicate of #100744
Comment 2 jbf.faure 2009-04-11 18:34:15 UTC
I don't reproduce the crash with OOo 3.1 RC1 (FR) on Ubuntu 8.04.

Regards
JBF

Checking extensions updating works with 3.1 on XP SP3
Comment 4 Stefan Weigel 2009-05-07 21:11:30 UTC
I do confirm this crash using Windows 2000 SP4 and OOO310m11 (3.1 final) with a
fresh and clean user profile.

Comment 5 Stefan Weigel 2009-05-10 09:59:15 UTC
This bug turns out to be a "1-Click-Crasher":

All you need to do to crash OOo is to click on this little green notification
icon for updates in the top right corner of the application windows.

This ist 100% reproducible under Win2000.

:-(

This is not only shocking for users. Users are not able to update extensions.
Comment 6 thorsten.martens 2009-05-11 12:01:30 UTC
TM->DV: As talked about, assigned to you.
Comment 7 stefan.baltzer 2009-05-11 12:46:42 UTC
Also confirming "Two Clicks to crash" (Extension manager must be called first
:-) on Windows 2000.
I tried a DEV300_m48 Nonpro build. Before the crash, an error window pops up.
Will attach a screenshot.

Also occurred for me on Win XP SP2. Fresh OOo 3.1 install.

Comment 16 Olaf Felka 2009-06-08 10:47:29 UTC
What exactly is fixed in this issue? The described issue or the listed issues?
Comment 17 tkr 2009-06-08 11:38:41 UTC
I missed ace_dent's comments. Only this issue was resolved by the fix.

The listed issues have nothing to do with this issue.

Comment 19 Olaf Felka 2009-06-12 07:16:41 UTC
OF: Looks good on Win2k. Couldn't see a regression for other WinOS.

Set to OS All, because this error isn't Win 2000 specific

We tried OOo310_m14 on Win 2000 and OOo still crashes. The duplicate issue
#103072 is also still reproducible. What shall we do? Reopen this issue or
create a new issue?
Comment 26 clutz 2009-06-30 11:50:50 UTC
sorry, I ment issue #101943 is still reproducible.
Comment 27 Mechtilde 2009-06-30 11:56:20 UTC
this issue should be fixed with CWS tkr22 which is integrated in OOO310_m14.

but as clutz described the problem still exist => reopen
Comment 28 Olaf Felka 2009-06-30 12:32:19 UTC
@ tkr: Please have a look. The fix hasn't reached the master of OOO310_m14.
Comment 29 tkr 2009-07-01 07:34:49 UTC
I see the changes in OOO310_m14. My guess is that not all modules that depends
on the changes were build (specially the UCB). I will check this with RE.
Comment 30 tkr 2009-07-06 09:08:00 UTC
