Description sforbes 2002-12-12 16:32:43 UTC
I was attempting to open a Hebrew power point file that I downloaded from the
web. The file was in a folder with a Hebrew name.

For some reason, I got an error. the error message included the path to the
file, where instead of the Hebrew folder name, it had escaped characters.

To repro:
1) make sure your local in win xp is Hebrew. Create a Hebrew folder name.
2) put the attached file in the folder
3) attempt to load the file

result:

error message contains eascaped characters in the path

expected:

error message should display Hebrew folder name in Hebrew

Comments:

Hebrew document names display properly in other alerts (like when closing a
modifed file without saving)

The message is a general problem of StarOffice. So this task should be
handled by Thorsten Martens.
I set this task to target 'OOo 1.1 Beta'
Comment 5 michael.bemmer 2003-05-06 16:06:46 UTC
Too late for beta2, re-targeted to 1.1 RC.
Comment 6 thorsten.martens 2003-05-15 14:18:30 UTC
Problem doesn´t occur in a beta1 (or beta2) anymore. Document is
opened without any errormessage. Pathname is also correctly displaxed
in file-open dialog or save-as dialog. So please check if you`re able
to let this problem still occur. Thanks !
Comment 7 thorsten.ziehm 2003-05-20 16:14:38 UTC
This task is fixed or worked in OOo 1.1 beta2.
Comment 8 atr 2003-07-16 15:49:12 UTC
ATR: I close this bug now, because TM checked this in beta2.
