In some cases, e.g. in extension directories, there are very long addresses.

Function getSystemPathFromFileURL does not accept to convert URL addresses to Windows 
addresses if it is above a certain limit.
Next attachment proves this, and shows that the limit is 256 characters after the 
drive address, in the resulting Window address.

This is probably one of the causes of the reported problems with long addresses in 
extension, see Issue 50885.

jsc -> mav: a potential fix depends probably on issue 50885. I think it is worth
to check it and can you take care of this issue please. A suitable target would
be then 3.2
