I dont know enought to edit the startup script effectively but I can read some of it. I did an export of the environment and collected this which shows the remote display. I also note that when I run GEDIT as root I get an odd message but the app still works. The message from GEDIT is GnomeUI-WARNING **: While connecting to session manager: Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed. Fails under GNOME. OS version is Red Hat 7.3, I think. Can you still repeat this with OpenOffice1.1rc2 or later? If so, let's get a crash log, I'll bet we can track this down. Please check if behaviour is still reproducible with a more recent build like RC4. Please try using the latest OpenOffice 1.1 Final , you can download it from www.openoffice.org many bug fixes and enhancements since your version and 1.1 Final . If the problem still happend in 1.1 please report back It maybe not yet solve your Issue, but it worth to try. no further news from reporter or confirming comments from another person for one year. -> WFM, closing closing for now |
