sample wordpad file
Ada, thank you for using and supporting OOo. Duplicated on Win NT 4.0 SP6a, OOo 643 English. I don't have the Chinese version of OOo, but opening this file shouldn't crash the english OOo. FME: I'll have a look. i have tried to replace the whole ..\sw\source\filter\ww8 folder with the one in oo1.0.1, then this problem is fixed. This is an example of a ww7 file which is using doublebyte characters, which on examination are in ms 950 encoding, not unicode like I used to think. I'll take this one :-) Created attachment 3406 [details]
ww97 ver of same
Regardless of being a doublebyte encoding its a) not in unicode, so code conversion (from ms950/big 5) must be done b) the font names are not in the usual 6- MS1252 they are in the same encoding as the font itself, i.e. ms950 again. ww2000+ converts these names to ascii style names (must have a lookup table), but 97 does not and displays the unicode version of the asian names (attached) which can be used to confirm that I'm not making this stuff up :-). fix checked in, SRX644i I would imagine will have these fixes. Working in SRX644i Looks much better in 644L. No crash, suitable FontName. Will be included in OpenOffice build 644. Fix will be included in OpenOffice 1.1 beta. |
