Does it still occure when the locale is changed to en_US.ISO-8859-1? Please give me a step by step instruction. Ican't reproduce this problem. At least a few other people have run into this. For instance, http://archive.linuxfromscratch.org/mail-archives/blfs-support/2002/08/0568.html Looking at the source code, this error happens when XSupportsLocale() returns false. It's easy to reproduce, too. Just set LANG to a locale not supported by your system. Setting the environment variable LANG to the value C and launching OpenOffice via the commandline should give you an emergency workaround. e.g. LANG=C soffice Please try updating to a newer version of Suse -- there's some chance it's a glibc bug or installation issue. If you can reproduce it with OpenOffice1.1beta and an updated Suse, please file a new issue. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 4440 *** The Issue you raised has been marked as 'Resolved' and not updated within the last 1 year+. I am therefore setting this issue to 'Verified' as the first step towards Closing it. If you feel this is incorrect, please re-open the issue and add any comments. Many thanks, Andrew Cleaning-up and Closing old Issues ~ The Grand Bug Squash, pre v3 ~ http://marketing.openoffice.org/3.0/announcementbeta.html As per previous posting: Verified -> Closed.
